tidbit: From Ryder: |
| Cinderella Undercover |
1.) Boingo Alive (sound stage- 1988) 2.) Farewell (live-1995) 3.) Anthology (1999) |
From Selena: Was an old song (Mystic Knights era?) the band dropped thinking it was too silly. "actually an old song we worked up with acoustic instruments" - D. Elfman. (from a KROQ interview around 1990, I think). He also CLEARLY pronounced the quote bit to be "they're screwing in the fields" rather than the somewhat tamer "Shooting". |

| Controller |
1.) Only a Lad (1981) 2.) Farewell (live-1995) |

This tid bit from cammycommando@yahoo.com:
"Danny ELfman wrote 'Dead Man's Party' after his daughter Lola wandered into his studio one day and started asking how everything worked. He demonstrated how he could hook up the drum machine and play the guitar, and strummed out what would become DMP. SHe lost interest and left, he kept working, inspired. SOURCE--some radio interview" from LadyBarclay@hotmail.com: on "Dead Man's Party" just before the title track begins, a voice (I presume Elfman's) says, "Yeah, yeah, let him in." My friend caught it, and we had to turn up the volume to hear it clearly. |

May have been originally recorded in 1983 intended for Good For Your Soul. from M. Adashefski: "My earliest hearing of 'Helpless' was in 1993 when the full band played their 1st Las Vegas show for a radio station called The Edge. Elfman prefaced it by saying it was an autobiographical tune of how his life became a living hell. It was not featured at the 1990 shows so my guess is it came from the months afterwards as it never showed up on tapes of the earlier gigs. |
