Fred

We've got this neighbor
and his name is Fred
He likes laying in front yards
pretending to be dead

There's no point fighting it
we've all learned not to worry
We let Fred do his thing,
he's a performance artist... you see?

At one time it was startling
Now it's the normal thing

Eventually he gets up
and knocks on your front door
Better put a dollar in his cap
or he'll lay in your yard some more

If Tom Robbins were a mushroom,
he'd be readily available
to teenagers and college students
but never found in stores.

What I want to know is...

If they have satellites
capable of taking detailed pictures
of humans on earth picking our collective noses
how come I've never seen one?

A nose pick as seen from space would be interesting!

Alas, I think we're learning to fear
ALL that comes from above

And 'aliens who abduct'...
isn't that the same mental subservience
that brought us royalty and gods?

I mean, how could you possibly question
that much authority? or explain that much mystery?

Sadly, this makes us all slaves.

Freedom is dropping our chains
especially the mental ones

Mind Control

Losing your mind
is only scary if you get it back

If it doesn't come back...
you probably don't know what you're missing

So what the hell is there to be afraid of?
Go do lots of acid.

On second thought...

It's the people around you
(and the local authorities)
who won't be able to deal with you.

So don't be an idiot...
trip in moderation or abstain entirely.

He lost his eye
in a horrible activist-poet accident.

H2O

Water is the sobering agent.
It can get you through most anything:

A bad round of beers
Cake without icing
Sun burn
A harsh toke
Thai food

Water is what you're hungry for most of the time.

Water cleans the inside of your body just as much as the outside.
Drinking water is a form of bathing.

Your body is mostly water.
Without water, you die.

This isn't a guilt trip, though... about pollution, radioactive waste, runoff, or any of that.

Just take a look at how little of the stuff is actually left for humans to safely consume...
Then think of all the new humans born each and every day.
